Xerox AltaLink - Authentication application configuration

  1. Open the device web interface.

  2. Log in to the device as an administrator.

  3. Go to the Properties section.

  4. Continue to the Login Permissions/Accounting > Login methods tab.

  5. Click Edit Control Panel & Website Login Methods.

5. Configure Control Panel Login to Convenience Authentication.

  1. Click Save.

  2. Click Edit Convenience Authentication Setup.

  3. For Server Communication select IPv4 Address.

  4. For IP Address Port enter IP address of OptimiDoc Cloud Node (OCN) and port :443.

  5. For Path enter /XeroxAuthentication.asmx?ip=ENTER_IP_ADDRESS_OF_THE_DEVICE and replace “ENTER_IP_ADDRESS_OF_THE_DEVICE” by real device IP address.

  6. For Accounting Information select Automatically apply Accounting Codes from the server option.

  7. Click Save.

  8. To prevent unauthenticated users from accessing the apps, go to the Login Permissions/Accounting > User Permissions menu.

  9. Edit User Permissions Roles.

  10. Edit Permission Role for Non-Logged-In User.

  11. Select Apps & Tools.

  12. In the Presets menu select “Restrict access to everything” option.

  13. Click Apply.
