OptimiDoc Cloud Client (OCC)

The OptimiDoc Cloud Client (OCC) is a core component responsible for deploying printers and print drivers, spooling print jobs, and routing them to physical printers or virtual spoolers according to the tenant configuration.

OCC ensures consistent printer deployment, secure job handling, and centralised configuration management across all user workstations.

OptimiDoc Cloud Client Architecture

The OptimiDoc Cloud Client (OCC) consists of two core components:

Desktop Application

The desktop application connects to the OptimiDoc Cloud datacentre and manages communication and configuration synchronisation for the authenticated user. It is responsible for:

  • user authentication,

  • data exchange between the OptimiDoc Cloud Client (OCC) and the datacentre,

  • printer creation and submission of driver installation requests to the service component,

  • print job spooling and delivery to the target printer or virtual spooler,

  • downloading processed documents stored in OptimiDoc destinations.

Application Service

The service component is responsible for:

  • installation and management of printer drivers.

Communication and Security

All communication between the OptimiDoc Cloud Client (OCC) and the OptimiDoc Cloud datacentre is performed exclusively over the HTTPS protocol, ensuring secure data transmission.
