Application Services - Datacenters

The heart of OptimiDoc Cloud is hosted in dedicated Azure regions. The current list is available at Geolocations of Datacentres.

Each customer is assigned to a data centre based on performance and local legislation requirements. Importantly, data never leaves the selected data centre, ensuring sovereignty and compliance.

All communication with the data centre is established over HTTPS on port 443.

Each data centre consists of the following core components:

OptimiDoc Cloud App Service

All cloud functions — printing, scanning, authentication, storage integration, and management — run on an Azure App Service layer. This service automatically scales based on workload to maintain performance.

SQL Database Layer

A central SQL database stores customer and partner data, with strict logical separation between tenants. Sensitive information is encrypted with individual encryption keys.

Document Processing Stations

Document conversion and OCR are powered by virtual machines running OptimiDoc Document Processing Engine and ABBYY FineReader Engine. These nodes scale out automatically based on CPU/memory usage, ensuring fast and reliable document processing.

Keyvault

Azure service for storing customer encryption keys.

Microsoft Document Intelligence

AI services for data extraction from documents.

Mail servers

Service for notification and document delivery to email.
